Healthy Gut – Stronger Immune System

Each of us has the ability to create a healthy gut and stronger immune system by improving the health of our digestive system and shaping our microbiome.

A healthy gut rewards us with a strong immune system. It begins with our microbiome which is a community of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses that make up our gut microbiota. Combine the microbiota, the products it makes, and the entire environment it lives within and we have a microbiome. Some researchers have said that up to 90 percent of all diseases can be traced in some way back to the gut and health of the microbiome.
The foods we eat, our sleeping patterns, the amount of bacteria we are exposed to every day, and our stress levels all help to establish the state of the gut microbiota.

The good news is that you really are in control of your microbiome through diet, physical exercise, sleep, and stress management. Knowing this can start you on the path to improving your gut health.

Poor gut health can contribute to many diseases and disorders like leaky gut syndrome, autoimmune disease, arthritis, dementia, heart disease, and cancer. The quality of your health relies on the balance of organisms and bacteria living within your gut. When you are exhausted from working overtime at the office, your body is working overtime too. When your immune system is constantly overloaded, it can cause it to weaken. When that happens, your body cannot respond to germs as quickly or as efficiently.
Your immune system can be affected by these germs that can lead to respiratory infections, sinus infections and lung infections.
